This story starts when change integrity and Kendra, the main characters of this book, have to spend a few weeks with their granddaddy and grannie. This happens while their p arnts are on a journey in the Nile. They are brothers; Kendra is the oldest unrivalled being 13 long time while lot is 11. They have never visited them and they dont want to go. The setting is at granddaddy and Grandma Sorensons house. grandad tells them that Grandma is away visiting a draw friend and for them to behave themselves while they are at the house. He tells them that they must never leave the yard and go into the wood. They briefly find out that their property is actually a stay on for all kinds of mystical creatures and that their Grandpa is the caretaker. They found out these when G randpa tells them that this place is a secret preserve and lets them drink in a special milk so they can impart back all the fairies that play around the yard. This milk is the unmatched that he took from the animal he had at the farm. The animal he had was a Giant Cow about 20 feet tall. in spite of appearance the woods there was a witch named Muriel that was attached by a rope with two knots in her arms.
